AFTERCARE

Proper aftercare is essential in maintaining the health and appearance of your eyebrows and eyelashes after treatments like waxing, threading, brow lamination, and lash lift. Here are some tips to follow after your appointment.

BROW LAMINATION

First 24 hours post treatment:

  • Avoid contact with water.

  • Be gentle with the treated area; no rubbing!

  • Avoid sleeping on your brows.

  • No brow makeup.

  • Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, etc.

  • No other facial beauty treatments.

BROW HENNA

First 24 hours post treatment:

  • Avoid contact with water.

  • Be gentle with the treated area; no rubbing!

  • No brow makeup.

  • Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, etc.

  • Avoid exposure to the sun/UV lights.

  • Avoid cleansing products directly on the treated skin.

  • No other facial beauty treatments.

Within first 24 hours and beyond:

  • Avoid excessive exposure to the sun/UV lights.

  • Avoid using oil-based skincare products on the brow area.

BROW/LASH TINT

First 24 hours post treatment:

  • Be gentle with the treated area; no rubbing!

  • Avoid washing the treated area.

  • Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, etc.

  • No brow makeup.

Within first 24 hours and beyond:

  • Avoid excessive exposure to the sun/UV lights. (The effects of the tint will start to diminish within 2-3 weeks as hair grows out and the tint color fades. Excessive exposure to sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster.)

  • Avoid oil-based and exfoliating skin care products around the treated area. A gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover is recommended.

LASH LIFT

First 24 hours post treatment:

  • Do not get your lashes wet.

  • Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, swimming, etc.

  • No eye makeup.

  • No other facial beauty treatments.

Within first 24 hours and beyond:

  • Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing!

  • Avoid waterproof mascara.

  • Use of sauna/steam is possible after 24 hours, but may weaken the effect of the lift.

WAXING

First 24 hours post treatment:

  • No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only.)

  • Avoid hot temperatures and moisture. No sauna, steam baths, jacuzzi, hot yoga, etc.

  • Avoid sweaty exercise - sweat can clog your hair follicles.

  • No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds and fake tans included.)

  • No scratching, and no touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid applying deodorant or anything perfumed or make-up to the waxed area.

  • No other facial beauty treatments.

  • Avoid retinoids/vitamin A until redness has subsided.

We recommend avoiding tweezing in-between appointments. This allows the growth cycle of your hairs to be more consistent.

Please note: some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms should subside over the next 24-48 hours. If you experience persistent redness or irritation or if you have any questions, please reach out to us.

MAKEUP

First 4 hours post application:

  • Be aware of allergic reactions – in the event of this remove with damp cotton wool and apply a soothing lotion such as calamine lotion.

  • To re-apply lipstick, do this with a lip brush, apply lip gloss, and blot.

  •  Avoid activities such as swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and other hot environments.

  • Avoid touching the face.

  • Use a spray fixative or setting powder to make the products on the face last longer.

  • Use blotting sheets/paper that soaks up excess oil on the skin without ruining makeup.

  • Removal of products – use eye make up remover and cleanser.

  • Try to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face twice a day using products suitable for your skin type.

  • Give your skin a day of ‘rest’ so it can return to its normal pH and prevent the chance of break-out and stress of the skin!

MICROBLADING

Day of Microblading:

  1. Avoid Touching: Do not touch the treated area with your fingers or any other objects. This can introduce bacteria and impede the healing process.

  2. Keep it Clean: Gently clean the area with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water. Use a cotton pad to pat it dry.

  3. Apply Healing Ointment: After cleaning, apply a thin layer of the provided healing ointment with a clean cotton swab. Avoid over-applying, as this can suffocate the skin.

First Week (Days 1-7):

  1. No Water Exposure: Avoid getting the treated area wet during the first week. This includes keeping it dry in the shower and when washing your face.

  2. No Makeup: Refrain from using makeup on or around the treated area for at least a week. This includes foundation, eyeshadow, and any other cosmetics.

  3. No Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds during the healing process. Sun can fade the pigmentation.

  4. No Sweating: Minimize physical exertion, sweating, and hot environments as they can affect the healing process.

  5. No Scratching or Peeling: Resist the urge to scratch or pick at the treated area as this can cause damage and lead to uneven healing.

  6. Avoid Saunas and Swimming Pools: Stay away from saunas, swimming pools, and bodies of water to prevent infection.

Second Week (Days 8-14):

  1. Gradual Resumption: You can gradually resume your normal activities, but continue to avoid intense exercise and sun exposure.

  2. Gentle Cleansing: You may start using a gentle facial cleanser, but avoid any exfoliating products in the treated area.

  3. Sun Protection: Once healed, always apply sunscreen to the microbladed area when exposed to the sun to preserve the color.

Long-Term Care:

  1. Avoid Chemical Peels and Laser Treatments: Inform any future skincare professionals about your microblading, as certain treatments can affect the pigment.

  2. Touch-Up Appointment: Schedule and attend your recommended touch-up appointment as advised by your microblading technician. This will help maintain the color and shape.

  3. Maintain with Proper Skincare: As part of your daily skincare routine, use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid harsh skincare products around the eyebrows.

  4. Be Patient: Understand that the color will fade slightly during the healing process, and the final results will be visible after the touch-up appointment.

**Emergency: In the event of any unusual redness, swelling, infection, or allergic reaction, contact your microblading technician or a medical professional immediately.
